The University of Tanzania is one of Africa's leading research institutions in the field of Environmental Studies.  Although the University itself is located in the middle of a large city, students will take frequent trips to locations outside of the city including Mount Kilimanjaro, Lake Victoria and Lake Tanganyika, Gombe National Park, and the Ngorongoro Crater.

Students will be graded on class attendance, participation in class, mid-term exams and one final research paper on the topic of their choice.  All classes are taught in English and students can go for a summer, Fall or Spring semester, or an entire academic year.
